| Serves students in the TRIO Student Support Services program, a federally funded grant designed to support first-generation, limited income, and students with documented disabilities in reaching their academic goals. TRIO Advisors provide comprehensive and proactive advising, educational guidance, career and transfer planning services and assistance with applying for federal financial aid and scholarships. Additionally, TRIO Advisors plan and implement cultural enrichment activities, college tours, workshops, and other programming that increases student retention, graduation and success.

Faculty load involves the sum of all activities in which a College teacher is expected to be engaged that are related to professional duties and responsibilities. Faculty are expected to remain current with their instructional fields or disciplines through a planned program of professional development activities and to update and revise their course outlines and materials to reflect changes in content and/or methodology. |

St. Louis Community College is hiring three full-time faculty members for the English Department, with appointments beginning in Fall 2025. These are continuing faculty positions.
One position is based at the Forest Park campus.
Two positions are at the Meramec campus, with one of these involving a split teaching assignment at the South County satellite location.
Teaching responsibilities may include day, evening, and weekend courses as well as online, hybrid, and live virtual lecture formats. In addition to classroom responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to engage in departmental, campus, and college-wide committees and activities. Candidates are eligible for medical benefits and will take part in the PSRS Retirement Program. |
