The basics of this position:
Assists with the development and management of college budgets including determination of available resources and allocations. Monitors budgets to ensure good financial management and compliance.
What you'll do:
- • Monitors budgets and prepares reports on status of actual versus budget.
• Reviews requisitions and purchase orders in a non-sufficient funds status.
• Review job vacancy postings for budget availability. Monitor full-time position budgets for adherence to budget and adjust for new employees as necessary.
• Develops estimates of budgetary resources and anticipated operating levels.
• Provides required financial and statistical information for the planning process.
• Assists with the budget development process in line with strategic goals and objectives.
• Provides cost/benefit analyses of budget alternatives.
• Reviews budget proposals and transfers for compliance with existing guidelines and budget policy.
• Works with the Business Managers in developing assigned budgets and providing information to department managers relating to approved budgets and related expenditures.
• Presents budget and development process in informational sessions such as Board meetings, new employee orientation, service week, etc.
• Uses data and business intelligence tools for research and ad-hoc reporting
• Serves as backup to the Coordinator, Budget in their absence.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and over three years of relevant full-time experience.
