The basics of this position:

This is a District wide position- Federal work-study students needed for the 2023-2024 Academic year.

What you'll do:

  • Duties will vary based on the department but may include:
     Assist with filing for the department.
     Assist students as needed.
     Assist with answering phone when office staff is unavailable; redirecting the calls as needed.
     Assist with distributing information on campus between offices.
     Perform general clerical work such as typing and copying as needed.
     Math and Reading tutors
     Community Service
     Monitor Computer Labs

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Must be a student enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester with a cumulative GPA of a 2.0; Must have a completed FAFSA form for the current academic year.

Preferred Qualifications:

Students who are in good financial aid standing. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to assist visitors and callers. Must possess the ability to use discretion regarding student information disseminated in department. Must possess a general clerical and technical work aptitude. Knowledge of the internet. Knowledge of computer software for word processing and database entry.
