The basics of this position:
Performs duties necessary to providing an excellent experience for library users. May interact with the students, staff, and faculty of the college and public community users. May instruct library patrons in use of on-line catalog and other library resources and equipment.
Varied schedule, including some evening or weekend hours.
What you'll do:
- • Circulates instructional materials: orders, receives, and verifies instructional materials and supplies; edits catalog copy for instructional materials according to national and local bibliographic standards and procedures; circulates instructional materials; charges, discharges, maintains patron records, places hold, arranges for inter-campus loan of print and non-print media; maintains a serial check-in, distribution and holding system.
• Assists in the inventory of instructional materials.
• Maintains appropriate files to support acquisitions, circulation, serials or cataloging systems and functions.
• Maintains various automated library and media.
• May perform routine maintenance of library equipment and stack areas.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and over one (1) year of full-time work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Library work experience preferred.
