The basics of this position:
The Administrative Clerk performs administrative duties of moderate complexity, including typing, filing, recordkeeping, and answering phones, while providing front-line customer service and managing inventory.
What you'll do:
- Prioritizes and provides skilled typing services to ensure accurate and timely completion of clerical tasks such as correspondence, reports, instructional materials, and college forms
- Maintains filing system to ensure accurate and complete department records
- Orders supplies and maintains inventory
- Greets students, staff, and visitors to provide information and ensure delivery of accurate information and necessary services
- Screens phone calls, answering questions or forwarding to appropriate personnel
- Schedules appointments and manages the calendar for the department
- Prepares contracts, consulting agreements, and necessary service documentation
- Assists with bid openings and prepares Board of Trustees (BOT) agenda reports
- Provides customer service on the front line, including handling walk-ins, phone calls, and email inquiries
- Additional duties as assigned
Education, experience, and other requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) months of full-time general clerical experience
• Must pass skills assessment at the basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
