The basics of this position:

Provides technical and artistic supervision of the operation of a campus Theatre/Auditorium. Designs, constructs, mounts and manages major theatre productions. Performs normal supervisory functions. Assists and helps with set up of college and outside events in the theatre.

What you'll do:

  • • Provides design and technical services for the artistic operation of main stage productions: properties designs, set design, lighting design, sound design, etc.
    • Supervises maintenance liaison for assigned areas of Theatre facility, i.e., electric, house, computerized lighting, all sound equipment, blueprint machine, green room, dressing rooms, draperies, audio-visual equipment.
    • Schedules and trains full-time, part-time, and student workers for all Theatre/Auditorium events.
    • Designs and oversees training program for student workers in shop.
    • Serves as member on campus Theatre Area committee, providing input and information for policy and procedures for Communications Department.
    • Performs normal supervisory functions: trains, instructs, assigns work to Theatre personnel; recommends transfers, promotions, wage increases, terminations; arranges for additional help or overtime; explains and enforces college policies, safety rules and regulations.
    • Evaluates performance.
    • May enhance publicity for theatre and some music events.
    • May stream events both internally and externally.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
