Senior Project Associate II - Nursing Retention Coach

The goal of the nursing retention coach is to develop and implement successful retention strategies for nursing students using a systemic approach focusing on social and academic barriers of the student, incorporating various systems within the STLCC network as well as the community. Creating and implementing a culture that focuses on equity, diversity and inclusion is an integral part of achieving a quality nursing program that will have a positive impact on the community in which those graduates will serve. Nursing retention coaches not only support and advocate for students but identify issues that may complicate learning by collecting data that can be analyzed for possible barriers that may affect student retention. Then analyzed data can be used to recommend strategies to minimize barriers. |

The Radiologic Technology program at STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve on the Florissant Valley campus. This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Spring 2025. They will be expected to serve as the FV program director. The new Radiologic Technology faculty member will be expected to teach, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the Radiologic Technology program, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Radiologic Technology Chair to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of radiography to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment. |

Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate program services and activities to ensure grant objectives are being met. Oversee TRIO Student Support Services project for continuous improvement. Manage identification, selection, assessment, and notification process for student participants. Plans and conducts retention-directed activities and events including Peer Mentoring and Peer Tutoring programming. Plans and coordinates promotion of the program to a variety of stake holders. Coordinate with college departments including purchasing, finance and accounting, human resources, marketing and information to ensure that program goals are met. Ensure the fulfillment of grant objectives, prepare and submit Annual Performance Reports to U.S. Department of Education, and develop regular reports for District Director of TRIO Programs. Program liaison to TRIO conferences, trainings, US Department of Education Program Officer, campus committees and meetings. Perform any other duties as required in fulfillment of the project. |

Collaborating closely with the District Manager, this role will also involve policy implementation. Additionally, the Supervisor will serve as a tutor in one of the core subject areas (Math, Reading, and/or English), directly assisting students with onboarding, evaluation, tutoring, and program completion. Furthermore, the Supervisor will advocate for underprepared/underrepresented student populations and collaborate with faculty to enhance student readiness for college-level coursework in math, reading, and English. |
