The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program at STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve on the Wildwood campus. This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Spring 2025. The new hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of MRI and those possessing a graduate degree. The new MRI Program faculty member will be expected to teach and mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the MRI Program, obtain and maintain programmatic accreditation, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Program Coordinator to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of MRI to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment. |

Saint Louis Community College-Florissant Valley seeks energetic and enthusiastic candidates for a full-time, temporary (one-semester) faculty position in Psychology to start January 2025, Spring Semester. The hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to those with community college teaching experience who also demonstrate excellence in online teaching. The successful candidate will demonstrate a student-centered approach as well as continual learning in their own field of expertise. The new Psychology faculty member will be expected to teach across the discipline, provide mentorship, fulfill necessary administrative duties within the Social Science-Humanities Department, serve on campus and district committees and generally contribute to the scholarly and community culture on campus. The teaching load is five courses (15 hours) per fall/spring semester, including multiple sections of General Psychology and Human Growth and Development. Candidates must be willing to teach at other campuses, in addition to the Forest Park Campus. The Online campus at STLCC is seeking a temporary full-time faculty member to teach online Chemistry (CHM 101- Fundamentals of Chemistry) for the Spring 2025 term. This position is for a temporary full-time faculty for the Spring 2025 term (January 13, 2025 - May 19, 2025). The new hire and assigned rank will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience.
The temporary Chemistry faculty member will be expected to teach CHM 101 - Fundamentals of Chemistry online using college content, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties as required, and serve on online campus committees as appropriate. This position is responsible for teaching courses in accordance with St. Louis Community College (STLCC) curriculum requirements and meeting STLCC Standards and Mission. The incumbent is responsible for staffing a busy circulation desk assisting patrons with finding, accessing, requesting, and checking out materials. This role also processes requests for books and other materials. Finally, this role has an outreach component, staffing campus events and creating displays of library materials.
The typical hours for this role will be Mondays 7:30am - 3:30pm, Tuesday - Friday 8:00 - 4pm or 8:30 - 4pm. Schedules are occasionally adjusted during the semester to meet staffing needs, with occasional evening hours. |

The English Department/ESL Program at STLCC is seeking a part time, temporary ESL Adjunct Instructor to begin in January- Spring 2025 semester teaching assignment will be at the Florissant Valley campus, but with the possibility of additional classes at Meramec or the Forest Park Campus. Preference will be given to those with community college experience in teaching English as a second or third language. The desired candidate will have a Master’s degree or higher in TESOL, Linguistics or other related field. The new ESL temporary faculty will have experience teaching academic writing, low intermediate to advanced grammar and English listening and pronunciation skills. The successful candidate will be confident using technology and practice varied teaching techniques. The new temporary adjunct faculty will reach students where they are and guide them to the next level of English in the four skill areas. |
