Associate Tutor, Upward Bound

Tutors are responsible for assisting students with the academic challenges they encounter while taking college preparatory classes. Tutors will be responsible for assisting teachers and high school students in classroom learning. Tutors are responsible for assisting students in completing assignments and other program activities. Tutors must be willing to work two Saturdays each month, attend staff meetings and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Tutors must be proficient in one of the following subject areas: English, math (algebra through pre-calculus), Science (biology and/or chemistry), foreign language (Spanish, French, or Latin). |
Lifeguard

The lifeguard plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure and enjoyable aquatic environment for all patrons. The primary focus of this position is to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals using our pool facilities. Duties include enforcing pool rules and regulations, promptly responding to emergencies, screening participants, and collaborating with a team of lifeguards during special events. |
College Police Officer

The work of the commissioned police officer involves responsibility for the protection of life and property, prevention of crime, apprehension of criminals and the general enforcement of laws, ordinances, and College policies. Duties normally consist of routine patrol, preliminary investigation, and traffic regulation. Police officers also may be assigned duties as training officers. Work involves an element of personal danger. The employee must be able to exercise sound independent judgment under stress. Assignments may include work on special tasks, which call upon specialized abilities and knowledge possessed by the officer. Work assignments can be general or specific and instructions are received from a supervisor who reviews work methods and results through reports, personal inspection, and discussion. |
