STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member for our Child and Family Development Center (early childhood education). Faculty are members of the certificated staff, including department chairs, who are assigned for instruction, student services or instructional resources for not less than 50% of their total assignment. Faculty load involves the sum of all activities in which a College teacher is expected to be engaged that are related to professional duties and responsibilities. Faculty are expected to remain current with their instructional fields or disciplines through a planned program of professional development activities and to update and revise their course outlines and materials to reflect changes in content and/or methodology. |

The position requires a wide range of professional responsibilities, including participation in curriculum and course development, course budget preparation, departmental planning, and attending departmental, campus, and college-wide meetings. The faculty member will actively engage in committee participation, provide student mentoring, and deliver didactic and clinical instruction at either the Forest Park or Florissant Valley campus. Additional responsibilities include coordinating or co-coordinating dental hygiene clinic and laboratory courses, preparing course materials, and performing other duties as assigned. The faculty member’s course assignments will be determined by the program chair and assistant chair, in line with their education, expertise, and preparation. |
