TRIO Upward Bound High School Teachers provide guidance, instruction, and support for supplemental high school academic sessions. These academic sessions include work in math, (algebra, advanced algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus), English (grammar, literature, and college writing), science (physics, chemistry, and Biology I and II), and/or foreign language (Spanish, Latin, and/or French). TRIO Upward Bound High School Teachers facilitate Saturday sessions during the academic year and/or during the six-week summer program to support the participant’s engagement, learning, and understanding of academic content through project-based learning and collaborative assignments. TRIO Upward Bound High School Teachers are responsible for ensuring a multicultural perspective in all elements of the instruction and content delivered. |
