Instruction Librarians work with students, classroom faculty and staff to develop and reinforce information literacy for all students at STLCC. Information literacy is the set of integrated abilities encompassing: • the reflective discovery of information, • the understanding of how information is produced and valued, • and the use of information in creating new knowledge and participating ethically in communities of learning. Varied schedule up to 24 hours per week, including some evening or weekend hours. Successful candidates should expect to work primarily at either the Forest Park, Florissant Valley, or Meramec campus, and may be asked to work at libraries throughout the district.

Instructor II / Assistant Professor - Biological Science and Biotechnology Program Coordinator Florissant Valley Campus
This position in Biology contributes to the overall work of the Biotechnology and Life Science Lab Assistant (LSLA) programs, the department and college, including preparation and planning for instruction; teaching courses; assisting in student advising; participating in departmental development and committees (textbook selection, course review and revision); participating in campus and college committees, meetings, and activities. In addition to classroom responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to coordinate both Biotechnology and Life Science Lab Assistant programs.

“The Radiologic Technology program at STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve on the Forest Park and/or the Florissant Valley campus. This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Fall 2023. The new hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of radiography and those possessing a graduate degree. The new Radiologic Technology faculty member will be expected to teach, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the Radiologic Technology program, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Program Coordinator to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of radiography to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment.”
