This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Spring 2025. The new hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of MRI and those possessing a graduate degree. The new MRI Program faculty member will be expected to teach and mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the MRI Program, obtain and maintain programmatic accreditation, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Program Coordinator to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of MRI to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment. |

The hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to those with community college teaching experience who also demonstrate excellence in online teaching. The successful candidate will demonstrate a student-centered approach as well as continual learning in their own field of expertise. The new Psychology faculty member will be expected to teach across the discipline, provide mentorship, fulfill necessary administrative duties within the Social Science-Humanities Department, serve on campus and district committees and generally contribute to the scholarly and community culture on campus. The teaching load is five courses (15 hours) per fall/spring semester, including multiple sections of General Psychology and Human Growth and Development.
