The basics of this position:

Creates an atmosphere of effective, efficient, friendly and reliable service, providing an easy, accessible, credible resource from which individuals can access information. Performs duties necessary to ensure exceptional student service and support a diverse range of administrative support services at the campus level.
Contact with students, prospective students, parents and families, college visitors, faculty and
staff in areas of Assessment, Access, Advising, Career and Employment Services, Campus Life, Cashier, Counseling, Enrollment Services and Grant-funded programs. May operate desktop computer, telephone, printer, student information system (Banner), Shortel phone system, scheduling software (Outlook), tracking software (Accutrack), campus online calendar and Microsoft Office, Higher One ID (student ID) program.

What you'll do:

  • Provides information on a wide variety of topics to diverse audiences.
  • Performs clerical support function for departments.
  • Prepares, facilitates, and implements informational sessions, including but not limited to New Student orientation and New Student Registration Workshops.
  • Provides direction and leadership to Student Affairs Assistant I in the preparation,
    implementation and organization of informational sessions and/or campus events.
  • Researches and reports on best practices, comparisons with benchmark schools, and
    current literature.
  • Provides organizational management during related campus events, information sessions,
    etc.
  • Provides guidance to students and faculty on enrollment policies and procedures and the
    enrollment process.
    Assists new students with establishing Banner Self-Service, Blackboard and email
    accounts.
  • Assists students with resetting Banner-Self Service password
  • Assists with online applications and registration.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Currently enrolled college or university student with a High School diploma or equivalent,
over three (3) months of relevant full-time experience, or any combination of education,
training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Preference will be given to full-time students currently enrolled in Higher Education
Administration, College Student Personnel, Student Affairs Administration,
Communication or similar education field.

Preference will be given to former community college students

Preferred Qualifications:
