The basics of this position:

The Manager of Recruitment and Outreach assists in meeting enrollment management goals by supervising coordinators and student recruiters and providing leadership in the ongoing development of effective and high-quality recruitment events, activities, and CRM caseload management.

What you'll do:

  • Monitors coordinator and student recruiter daily activities to ensure that every student caseload is properly documented, and that timely outreach is occurring in CRM Recruit and other student communication platforms.
  • Conducts and documents performance and coaching sessions with coordinators and student recruiters.
  • Assists in developing training to use in onboarding new staff and oversees effective customer service for new and existing staff.
  • Supports and provide guidance on implementation of large-scale recruitment programs (Open Houses, Preview Days, Information Sessions, Mobile Enrollment/Red Carpet Days and Daily Campus Tour program, etc.)
  • Ensure coordinators and student recruiters deliver consistent, accurate and timely communication (event presentations, preview days, information sessions, yield events)
  • Coordinates all campus teamwork schedules to ensure adequate coverage for recruitment events, campus tours, administrative duties, and the campus office to meet recruitment cycle demands.
  • Manage and support the planning and coordination of off-campus and on- campus activities for service area.
  • Conducts weekly management meetings, staff meetings, assessment activities, annual planning and report writing activities.
  • Provides fiduciary oversight for the campus Recruitment and Outreach unit and management of budget attached to programs, services, and personnel.
  • Works with campus Vice Presidents for Student Affairs and participates in campus leadership meetings.
  • Provide input and feedback to the Director of Recruitment and Outreach in the development of recruitment publications as needed, and especially as it relates to the best practices around the campus visit experience.
  • Contributes to the design, implementation, and monitoring of efficient CRM Recruit function for managing recruitment and outreach systems.
  • Collaborate with other student affairs departments and provide leadership to support positive customer service.
  • Serve as Recruitment and Outreach point-of-contact for selected College Pathway(s)
  • Coordinate with the Coordinator of Work-study to assist students with college employment.
  • Ability to identify and anticipate recruitment, outreach, and enrollment issues.
  • Ability to use multiple modes of contact to serve the needs of students including face-to-face interaction, electronic interaction, parent and student outreach engagement platforms and interaction via telephone.
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment as part of a districtwide unit.
  • Remain current in knowledge and understanding of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) best practices and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy ACT (FERPA)
  • Clear understanding and commitment to diversity, equity, and cultural competence

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with three (3) years of relevant full-time experienced preferred.
