The basics of this position:

Performs duties necessary to assist the Manager, Payroll with processing payroll and benefit payments. Provides guidance to payroll staff and answers questions on payroll processing from employees and payroll staff. Processes payroll reports, reconciles earnings and deductions accounts and provides backup to manager, as needed

What you'll do:

  • Monitors the day-to-day operations of payroll.
  • Review earnings and deduction totals, subsidiary ledgers, garnishments and levies and other miscellaneous payroll deductions.
  • Process off-cycle payroll payments as needed.
  • Manage timekeeping maintenance and serve as resource for employees & supervisors.
  • Answers questions from employees and payroll staff.
  • Coordinate insurance benefit accounts for retiree, leave of absence, and Family Medical Leave participants.
  • Perform account reconciliations on Tax & Benefit accounts
  • Assist in the development of internal procedures, processes, and documentation
  • Provides support and assistance to Manager, Payroll or Payroll Specialist as directed.
  • Serve as backup to Manager, Payroll in their absence.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and over two years of relevant full-time experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience with full cycle payroll.
