The basics of this position:

Performs duties necessary to maintain and repair all power plant,
field, and HVAC equipment, including the building automation system (BAS); completes
daily and substation log sheets; makes daily rounds to check power center and conduct
general safety checks.

What you'll do:

  • Maintains and repairs all power plant equipment: repairs fire alarm, sprinkler and Water
    Softener system and electrical circuits as necessary; maintains and repairs the high voltage
    electrical network.
    Maintains and repairs heating, ventilation, ventilation fans, and cooling equipment: repairs
    air conditioning units, refrigeration, air compressors equipment, and/or boilers when needed;
    chemically treats hot water heating system, steam generator, chilled water cooling system,
    and swimming pool; repairs and maintains sump, condensate, manhole and fountain pumps;
    remodels heating, cooling and ventilation equipment; calibrates and repairs thermostats and
    air mixing boxes; makes decisions as to heating and cooling requirements for individual
    buildings.
    Maintains and troubleshoots the variable frequency motor drives, individual BAS panels with
    analog/digital controllers, and a variety of HVAC system devices and controllers.
    Assist Grounds during weather emergencies
    Performs other job related duties as assigned

Education, experience, and other requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a 2-year or longer HVAC
program at an accredited vocational school, college or university. Three (3) years fulltime experience in heat generation and air conditioning installation and repair, HVAC
repair, installation, and troubleshooting, and use of refrigerant recovery equipment.
Thorough knowledge of automated HVAC system and controllers with computer based
operating systems and vocational training in this area. Valid drivers' license and
insurance.
