The basics of this position:

Monitors the daily operation of STLCC-South County in conjunction with the Dean & Director. Performs duties necessary to provide an effective operation of all offices. Serves as resource person for Banner Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing, Payroll, and adherence to Board policies and procedures. Provides quality customer service to college employees and/or students by answering questions and assisting in the resolution of problems regarding college business operations.

What you'll do:

  • • Provides oversight, planning, and implementation of programs and services in accordance with grant guidelines.
    • Coordinates and oversees documentation, program compliance, performance, research, and data collection of student outcomes related to grant objectives and student learning outcomes. Writes reports and proposals as required by the grant and/or the college.
    • Creates and maintains training manuals for the South County Education Center.
    • Serves as liaison between South County location, Athletics, Nursing Program, other STLCC campuses and Corporate College on issues related to Business Operations.
    • Assists in providing purchasing services to include processing requisitions, issuing, reviewing, completing, and maintaining purchase orders and affiliated paperwork/records.
    • Reviews budget availability. Performs follow-up on deficit accounts, keeps contract/grant files up to date, and resolves vendor invoice issues. Processes reports as requested. Ensures compliance with purchasing policy and procedures.
    • Respond to questions, distribute appropriate personnel/payroll forms, aids in resolving concerns that arise.
    • Administers purchasing card (P-Card) usage by authorized cardholders. Ensures MOUs are signed/renewed on a fiscal year basis. Monitors purchase history and performs administrative duties to issue POs, change orders and cancellations to maintain and/or update records.
    • Responsible for reconciliation of charges, maintaining receipts and other documentation and running weekly reports. Reviews employee reimbursement requests for policy compliance, budget availability, supporting documentation and mathematical calculations. Processes and reconciles local and non-local travel reports; makes travel arrangements for WSG personnel; maintains records; may prepare budget transfers and journal entries. May prepare labor redistributions.
    • Assist the Dean & Director with scheduling of classes, ordering and maintaining supplies for the building and programs, and staffing needs.
    • Normal supervisory responsibilities for part time employees and student workers assigned.
    • Serve as designee for Dean & Director, South County as needed.
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related area and three (3) years’ experience or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management experience or education and experience with Banner systems is preferred.
