The basics of this position:

Assists in the administration and coordination of testing services. The Testing Specialist is responsible for proctoring exams in compliance with testing rules and regulations, reports test results, maintains test security/integrity and department records. Supports the daily testing activities, provides input/feedback. Supervises and trains staff as requested.

What you'll do:

•Schedules examinations and makes arrangements for necessary space and equipment.

•Administers and interprets examinations; facilitates the administration and interpretation of test batteries for group and individuals; assists staff with test interpretation; maintains accurate student test records; makes appropriate referrals; and communicates testing policy and procedure when needed.

•Handles and resolves technical and testing software support issues with Information Technology department and external technical support services and reports issues to supervisor.

•Maintains proficiency in testing and college related technology including adaptive technology.

•Communicates and interacts with students, staff, faculty, external testing services, community partners and others to ensure effective and efficient customer service and delivery of testing services.

•Handles and resolves customer service and staff issues and reports them to the Testing Manager as appropriate.•Participates in communication and activities/presentations with other District departments and personnel, educational institutions, governmental and private agencies, and the public. May travel when necessary to meet needs of prospective students or other college departments.

•Participates in program review; assists in the development and implementation of revised procedures.

•Reports any irregularities in procedures to Manager within the testing offices, centers, and off-site locations.

•Other duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and over one (1) year of relevant full-time experience.
