The basics of this position:
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program at STLCC is seeking a full-time faculty member to serve on the Wildwood campus. This position is a full-time faculty, continuing position, set to begin in Spring 2025. The new hire will be made at the level of Instructor II or Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with community college teaching experience in the profession of MRI and those possessing a graduate degree. The new MRI Program faculty member will be expected to teach and mentor students, fulfill administrative duties within the MRI Program, obtain and maintain programmatic accreditation, and serve on departmental and campus committees. They will assist the Program Coordinator to assure effective program operations, and maintain current knowledge of program/clinical policies, procedures, and student progress. The successful candidate will demonstrate the use of varied teaching techniques that help students develop critical thinking skills and understand the relevance of MRI to the community. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the use of technology in the classroom to improve student learning outcomes and a commitment to classroom assessment.

Overseeing ongoing program accreditation and assessment processes.
Participates in budget planning.
Participates in didactic and/or clinical instruction.
Maintaining current knowledge of professional discipline.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
Holds a minimum of a master's degree.
Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.
Documents three years' clinical experience in the professional discipline
Documents two years' experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accrediated program
A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in MRI
