The basics of this position:

The Recruitment and Career Coordinator is a key position in the implementation of the various
Workforce Training programs at St. Louis Community College to support the development of
creative approaches to address current and future workforce needs in industries including
healthcare, advanced manufacturing, adult learning, transportation, IT, and environmental.
Serves as a recruiter, coach, guide, and advocate for participants through all levels of their
training, beginning with student recruitment, to advance their progress along a career pathway.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of a plan for each
    participant to include assessment, career exploration and blueprinting, enrollment in training,
    and job search.
  • Assist with community outreach, scheduling informational sessions, and conducting
    presentations to promote training programs.
  • Assists participants in navigating life issues that are barriers to participation in their
    educational program. Links participants with other resources on the STLCC campuses such
    as advising, financial aid, disability offices, and childcare resources, as well as resources in
    the community.
  • Works with participants individually and in small groups, and closely monitors each
    participant's progress.
  • Coordinates the logistics for outreach events with employer partners, outside community based organizations, area K-12 schools, and funding resources.
  • Assists other grant team members on recruitment and delivery of services to participants.
  • Assists with detailed record keeping, record audits, data collection and mandatory reporting.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and over three years relevant experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience
