The basics of this position:

The Administrative Assistant II provides high-level administrative support to various departments and senior staff, ensuring effective office operations and facilitating smooth departmental functions.

What you'll do:

  • • Maintains complex record-keeping and filing systems for storage and retrieval of correspondence, contracts, and departmental personnel records
    • Compiles and organizes statistical data and information for preparation of schedules, reports, or budgets
    • Schedules and coordinates meetings and events, managing multiple calendars for campus leadership and ensuring efficient time management
    • Provides administrative support, including assisting faculty with administrative tasks, overseeing office procedures, and training staff
    • Manages payroll processes, including preparing workloads, entering Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs), and processing adjunct and overload assignments
    • Assists with requisitions and encumbrances, ordering supplies for various departments, and managing budgets
    • Supports academic functions, such as class scheduling, managing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), and ensuring compliance with academic policies
    • Additional duties as assigned

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3 - 5 years of related experience
• Must pass a skills assessment at the intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred: Associate degree in Business Administration, Communication, Education, or a related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience
