The basics of this position:

Oversees daily operations of one or more Campus Business Services and Cashiering Offices. Assists with management of campus budgets including researching and resolving complexed issues related to labor and expense. Assists with developing and presenting district training to instill consistency and compliance with daily business operational tasks. Assists with monitoring Academic Affairs federal and state grants. Ability to development financial reports for various levels of campus and college leadership.

What you'll do:

  • Oversees the daily operations of Business Services including cashiering on one or more campuses.

  • Assists with identifying and resolving complex issues related to employee compensation and expense.
  • Assists with the development and entry of special compensation for faculty (e.g., winter session, adjunct faculty training).
  • Monitors campus budgets to ensure good financial management and compliance.
  • Develops and facilitates district training related to daily business operational tasks (e.g., requisitions, expense reports, encumbrances, ePAFs).
  • Assists with monitoring the district-wide Perkins Grant and other state and federal grants to ensure compliance with federal  requirements.
  • Distributes full-time faculty release time to various budgets through budget transfers, labor adjustments, and ePAFs.
  • Collaborates with Business Manager, Academic Affairs, and other Business Services Supervisors, to ensure consistent district-wide practices and procedures.
  • Manages annual campus budget process. Works with Campus President to coordinate campus hearings and to ensure final budget recommendations are submitted by the required deadline.
  • Completes appropriate journal entries and budget transfers when needed.
  • Keeps campus leadership informed of any budgetary or compliance concerns.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on college business processes and procedures as it relates to Board Policy and Administrative Procedures.
  • Uses data and business intelligence tools for research and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Performs normal supervisory functions: trains, instructs, assigns work; arranges for additional help or overtime; and evaluates job performance.
  • Will serve as a backup to the Business Manager, Academic Affairs in their absence.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and over five years of relevant full-time experience.
