Salary Range:  $40,404

Position Summary:

The Accounting Specialist works in the Bursar's office to ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of all funds, incoming and outgoing, for the College. Will work closely with our Student Accounts, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Accounting teams as well as the campus Business Offices and Bookstores. This position may require communication with agencies outside of the College as well as students.  This is an in office position with the potential of remote work one day a week.

Primary Duties Performed:

Serves as the treasury or financial liaison concerning all banking functions or
aspects of the account receivables functions in the district office.

Complete all check run processes for the College.

Monitor accuracy of data and financial information in Banner Finance and
subsidiary general ledger accounts.

Reconcile general ledger accounts with the student accounting system and daily
bank activity statements. May monitor online payment program, process refunds
online and record daily receipts and checks in Banner Finance module. May
maintain transaction flow with Bank Mobile.

Analyze and prepare accounting receipts, financial spreadsheets, and other
financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to College
reporting and procedural standards. May be required to use external systems and
processes such as Bank Mobile, WinSCP system; bank uploads, wire transactions,
and ACH self-service system, and Bank Mobile financial aid disbursement system.
May calculate and/or prepare financial spreadsheets/reports for
government entities, third party accounts, or students according to established
procedures.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Associate's degree or equivalent and over three (3) years of relevant full time experience.

Bachelor's degree may be substituted for full-time experience.
