The basics of this position:

The Helpdesk student worker will provide technical and network problem resolution to end-users (customers) by performing a question diagnosis while guiding users through step-by-step solutions. The position requires providing direct technical customer support via telephone, chat, email, remote tools, or in person. Including, but are not limited to, resolving authentication problems, basic software support, verifying proper hardware and software set-up, power cycling, navigating college applications, print related issues, and troubleshooting email issues. Support will be provided in a user-friendly, professional manner.

What you'll do:

  • 75% Assist calls with their questions and requests, documenting interactions within the ticketing system.
  • 20% Actively participate with ongoing development and maintenance of documents and processes .
  • 05% Assist with new technology testing and other duties as assigned.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

Must be a student enrolled at St. Louis Community College for at least 6 for-credit hours per semester with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 with:

• Computer experience
• Proficient spoken and written English
• Punctual and reliable
• Customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Complete the FAFSA form for the current academic year.
