The basics of this position:
Performs duties necessary to plan and coordinate Continuing Education classes, programs and activities including strategic development, implementation, promotion and evaluation. Serves all campuses, satellite locations and area partners, including businesses, organization, school districts, community centers and churches.
What you'll do:
- • Coordinates the processes of course preparation (from development to implementation) and instructor preparation (from hiring to classroom). Assesses course selection, coordination of facilities, organization, production and distribution of class schedules.
• Evaluates enrollment and makes decisions regarding class status (continuation, cancellation and rescheduling).
• Participates directly in marketing and logistical coordination for courses offered, which includes active participation in marketing efforts with the goal of increasing program awareness, fiscal accountability, and student enrollment.
• Addresses and resolves issues pertaining to programs including instructor, student, facilities and staffing to ensure quality customer service and student retention.
• Cultivates relationships and serves as a liaison between campuses, community and Continuing Education to ensure clear communication and development of quality programming to meet the needs of diverse markets.
• Recruits, selects and hires instruction staff for courses; evaluates and ensures instructors are in compliance with college policies and procedures.
• Schedules and/or arranges for appropriate facilities for courses, seminars, and workshops both on and off campus; negotiates arrangement with off-campus sites.
Education, experience, and other requirements:
• Associate’s Degree and seven (7) years of relevant full-time experience
• Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience
• Master’s Degree and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience.
