The basics of this position:

The Clinical Director of Nursing Operations manages the clinical operations of the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) programs, including placement coordination, onboarding and supervision of adjunct clinical faculty, and implementation of clinical policies and procedures in alignment with accreditation and licensure requirements. Leads district-level committee efforts and provides strategic oversight for compliance and program quality across all clinical sites.

What you'll do:

  • • Implements the Associate’s Degree in Nursing Program in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and policies, including a written plan that ensures the competency of students in clinical practice settings; coordinates and evaluates the Program on an annual and long-range basis.
    • Supports student participation in division-specific initiatives by tracking and placing students in clinical rotations aligned with these programs.
    • Regularly reviews and updates the nursing program handbook to reflect changes in clinical requirements and policies.
    • Participates in the Nursing Program Advisory Committee; evaluates recommendations for implementing decisions and policies.
    • Serves as a member of the District Readmission Committee, assisting in the review and decision-making process for students seeking readmission to the nursing program.
    • Hires qualified adjunct clinical faculty, determines their workloads, and performs supervisory duties related to onboarding, orientation, and issue resolution.
    • Monitors faculty compliance with clinical site requirements each semester and follows up as needed.

Education, experience, and other requirements:

• Must hold an active, undisciplined, Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing or related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clinical coordination experience in an academic or clinical environment preferred.
